{project} Website & Mobile Site, Brand Guidelines

{description} As a freelance product designer, I'm currently engaged in multiple projects, one of which involves redesigning the website and mobile platform for Portrait Pics, a SaaS company that provides their ordering platform to schools for easy portrait ordering. My focus is on crafting a more intuitive, visually engaging ordering process that caters to parents seeking to order their children's school portraits with ease. This redesign aims to streamline the user experience, making it simpler and more visually appealing.

As the sole designer responsible for the look, layout, and flow of this successful SaaS product, I had to work quickly and efficiently. I used my skills in UI, UX, Project Management, Graphic Design, Branding, and Stakeholder Communication to drive the success of this project.

Site Mapping & Prototyping

Site Mapping and prototyping were vital parts of process when figuring out how the flow of the site would go. A clear site map and a smooth prototype helped with streamlining the communication between me, the client, and the developers.

Before & Afters

Please see below for some images of what the platform looked like before my re-design and after. I focused heavily on making the site more modern. I was very intentional about my use of white space to ensure a clean and organized feel. I created a consisted color palette to add visual cohesion to the site. I also mainly focused on a smooth flow throughout the site. Prior to my redesign the site was clunky, scattered, outdated, and chaotic.

Customer satisfaction and client retention is projected to dramatically increase, continuing at a rate of over 40% annually for the foreseeable future.

Branding Refresh

Although Portrait Pics has been successful for years now - in addition to their site needing a major refresh, their branding did too. I created a cohesive brand guidelines from scratch, as well as designed a brand new logo for them. I enjoyed being able to utilize my graphic design skills in this part of the project.
