{description} At NewCo: An IAC Incubator, I worked on the design team for Upside. I contributed to the design of this mobile-first fintech platform, enabling fans to invest in music royalties. I worked on UI explorations across the app, refining the login/signup flow and key interactions to create a seamless, intuitive experience. I also supported brand exploration, helping shape a distinct visual identity that extended across the app and social media. Collaborating with developers and product teams, I helped bring a cohesive and engaging platform to life, turning music fans into investors and superfans.

Upside is a mobile-first fintech platform that lets fans invest in music royalties, turning them into passionate supporters and superfans. By buying and selling shares of their favorite artists' music, users can engage with the industry in a whole new way.
The Future of Fandom.
When fans are (literally) bought into an artist's success, it creates immediate community and turbo-charges their engagement.
Designing specifically for the user is always the most important thing for me as a designer. Focusing on how to empower users and give them as much freedom as possible is key to a successful product.
Architecture.
A well-planned architecture is crucial for scalability, performance, and maintainability, ensuring a seamless user experience and efficient development.
Accessibility & Finance.
Offering both light and dark mode enhances accessibility by accommodating different visual needs, reducing eye strain, and improving readability in various lighting conditions.
When dealing with finance in an app, clarity and organization are essential to ensure users can easily track their money, make informed decisions, and navigate without confusion.
Branding.
Creating brand guidelines is essential for maintaining consistency, building trust, and ensuring a cohesive identity across all touchpoints, making your brand more recognizable and impactful.
